I plan to procure and sell online a product (to consumers and semi-wholesale) that is not available in the UK and NW Europe.
My plan is to ship the product out of the country in bulk (via a contact, as the main product distributor only ships domestically) to a warehouse or another outfit in NW Europe that can (1) sort and (2) distribute the product according to online orders.
The majority of orders will be generated through social media advertisements on Instragram and contacting / visiting stores who might be interested and directing them to our online store.
My question is, now that I’ve sorted an item I want to sell and see that there is a market for, what should my next steps be for setting an online store in terms of the general ‘macro’ strategy as well as logistics?
For example, what type of warehouse / e-commerce shipping strategy should I be looking at?
